Two ways in. Pick whichever is easiest.

Everything starts with a conversation, and the first one is free. You won't be asked for payment details, and there's no intake form to fill in before we've spoken.

Schools & organisations

Email

Best for schools and education organisations, because a proposal needs something to hang off. A few lines about your school or programme and what isn't working is enough; I'll come back with times for a call. Parents are welcome to write here too.

hello@rukmanivishwanathan.com

When you'll hear back

I work Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 5.00 pm IST. Messages that arrive outside those hours get answered on the next working day. You'll get an automatic note saying so, which is a machine being polite rather than me ignoring you.

If you're outside India, say where you are when you write and I'll offer times that aren't the middle of your night. Most families abroad end up in the late-afternoon IST slots, and I can open an earlier one if that's the only thing that works.

I'm one person, not a practice with a front desk. For a family that means the reply is always from me, and occasionally that it takes until tomorrow. For a school it means you're dealing directly with the person who does the work, and that I'll tell you at the scoping call how much I can take on and by when, rather than promising a team I don't have.

What to say in a first message

No structure needed, but these four things make the first call much more useful:

  • Your child's age and class (or your school's size and stage)
  • What you're seeing that worries you, in ordinary words
  • What the school says, if it's different
  • Anything you've already tried

How I handle information about your child

Whatever you tell me about your child is treated as private. I collect information about a child only from a parent or guardian, never from the child; I use it only to decide whether I can help and then to do the work; nobody else sees it unless you ask me to share it with your child's school; and you can have it deleted at any time by writing to hello@rukmanivishwanathan.com.

The full version, including which tools I use, how long I keep things and what you can ask me for, is on one page: the privacy policy.

Still deciding?

Book a call anyway. Twenty minutes, free, and a straight answer about whether I'm the right person, including "no, try this instead", which happens often enough that I've written it down.
